HOB Refugium

So I have a 16 gallon bowfront nano reef. Its about three weeks old and its got live rock, live sand and a pair of Clarkii clowns in it. I was thinking of adding a CPR HOB refugium to it. I want some real filtration and to hide the heater. There are two sizes I'm looking at, Small 13-1/4"L x 4-1/2"W x 12"H and Medium 19-1/4"L x 4-1/2"W x 12"H. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with these. I was also wondering if the 19" one would be to long for my 16 which is 20" long. Any feedback is appreciated, thanks in advance.
