They can multiply fairly fast. Pepp shrimp might and might not touch it. all of the ones I had( about 6 at one time) never looked at it. The best bet is to nuke it yourself. Get some joe's juice, a syringe and inject it, this will kill it

Here are a couple websites that talk about Aipstasia and how to rid your tank of them.

it's hit or miss, but i've used peppermints with good success in 2 different tanks.

Yeah, I've got one close to my sun coral, so it's been getting pretty regular "feedings". I keep meaning to go in and take care of business, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

best solution i have found is mixing kents's kalkwasser that you might already have with ro water, Use a syringe and inject right next to the aips mouth, then coat it, As soon as the solution hits the saltwater it turns almost into a gel and coats very well.... Dont use more than one 5ML syringe per day because it can cause a spike in PH if you go crazy and use too much... I also read the box of joe's juice and this is basically the same thing, LESS expensive and i have found it to work more effectively

If you only see one or so...then nuke it with Joe's Juice or Aiptasia Control. It's easy and fast...but don't wait.

This is true. I've had great effect though by just slathering the apitasia with kalkwasser mixed to the consistency of wet plaster (or dry toothpaste).

Kills them every time.
