Geo Kalk Reactor. Mixing time?

Anyone have any suggestions on how long or how often to stir?

I was mixing for 15 min every 3 hrs, but I heard that is overkill.

thxs.

I would think 1 min a few times a day would be fine.

I never understood why a mix would need to be 15 min. How long can it take to mix the lime in the bottom of the chamber into solution? I ran mine for 1 min and it was fully mixed. Once the lime is mixed into the water, you are done. Mine was a magnetic stir bar. Does a pump model take 15 min to mix?

I'm not sure why they recommend 15 minutes either. I'm just going by the instructions. Also, I can't find a timer that will come on for a shorter period than 15 minutes...

Try a digital timer. They can be set for 1 min increments.

I no longer run a Kalk reactor, but when I did, I used one of these for timing the mix. Igot it at Target
