McCoskers Flasher Wrasse

Anyone have one? What are they like as far as behavior in a reef? Any pics? What kind of price can I expect to pay for one?

Can be not so nice towards firefish. They can jump very high from very little water.

I had one very aggressive to other wrasses. Major jumpers. They actually swim near the surface of the water...I mean RIGHT near the surface. At least all mine did...always waiting for food it seemed...

They will not do well with sixline wrasses or their cousins; they also will not do well with Pseudochromis. These fish won't tolerate fairy or flasher wrasses.

It would be the only wrasse in the tank. It's other planned tank mates are a Tail Spot Blenny, Clown fish (not sure which kind yet...most likely a Percula) and a Flame Angel.

I had a McCoskers for about a year ... lost him when I left him at a LFS during a move and their system got ick. Great fish, great personality.

Mine never went near the surface of the tank, but could jump. He was generally peaceful, but would flash at other fish.

Mostly LPS reef (lords, micros, duncans, etc.) with some ricordia florida and zoanthids.
