cleaning filter socks?
how do you clean them?
I just threw mine in the wash with some bleach. I hate to do just a load of laundry for two filter socks, but i would rather do that than wash the things by hand. Would you rinse them with dechlorinator after washing them?

I wouldn't use bleach. I just turn them inside out and then wash them on hot without any kind of cleaner.

how come you would not use bleach? I thought many people used bleach for cleaning equipment and such. Just as long as it was thoroughly rinsed and dried afterwards.

I use bleach on mine. I don't use the washing machine anymore because it damages the plastic rings on the top of my filter socks. I rinse mine out really well. Then I soak them in bleach for about 30-60 minutes. Then I rinse them thoroughly, and allow them to dry completely.

I throw them in the laundry with a cup of bleach; the bleach is there to disinfect the sock, not to clean it. With a rinse cycle and an air drying, there is no residual bleach.
