Mandarin Goby life span

My Mandarin Goby died last week. I've had him for a little over 6 years and don't know how old it was when I got it. I was wondering if this was considered average, short or long term for one of these guys.

I don't know, but I had one for 5.5 years, but he died right after moving him to a new tank - coincidence? It was probably close to full grown when I got him. He'd gotten a little skinny (had always been nice and fat), in spite of plenty of copepods and tiny isopods being in the tank. He just stopped eating.

Average is about 3 months - how long it takes a fish to starve to death in a tank that can't support them. So you did pretty good compared to most people.

He is a fat little sausage.
