help setting up a 180
i recently purchased a 180 gallon tank going to be seeting it up
soon. I would like some other ppls input on whats best for a tank this size. and possibly pics I will be keeping sps/lps and fish in it. I would really appreciate help on sump/fuge design closed loop or not and diff types of filtration to use Im trying to keep from running powerheads if at all possible Thanks Tracy |

Only thing i wish i would have done different on my 180 gallon is do a closed loop. I opt'ed not to do it because i wanted to the tank as close to the wall as possible and didn't want to have the tank away from the wall for the plumbing. If i ever tear the tank down and move (or upgrade) i will be doing a CL next time

you can make a CL in one side of the aquarium.

so im assuming that closed loop would be the best way to go?

i got the tank home today me and one friend lifted it. My wife said hmmmmmmm wonder why your back is shot lol i need some good info on plumbing this thing and what type skimmer to use anyothers wanna lend the 2cents? Thanks Tracy
