? for people w/ dual EVS type airpump driven dosers!`

hey just wondering how many of you run these off of one pump. use like a 2 air outlet pump and one to chamber a and one to chamber b and just dose them both at the same time...but in different parts of the sump or where ever.

you see any real problems w/ it. if i put 1 infront of my skimmer outlet and one in front of my drain to my sump? they would be in the same baffle but mixed up really well.

also, how big an airpump would i need?

here is a pic of how it works from premiumaquatics website. very simple concept.

i am sure you could dose both parts at the same time as long as you put them in different high flow areas, just wanting to make sure.

i am getting one like it but by a different company. i will take pics and let you know how it works out.

sure beats the $$ for a calcium reactor but saves me the trouble of trying to find someone to come to my apt 2x's/day to add the right amount if i am gone

does everything come with the doser? tubing, valves, etc...? or do you have to buy all that stuff seperate? yes, please let me know how it works when you have it setup. was this one cheaper?... and is it readily available anyone? thanks

ps - i currently dose and just throw it in... part A and then part B a couple seconds after. as long as it's in a high flow area it shouldn't matter.

i believe it comes w/ everything but the 2 timers, 2 check valves, and 2 air pumps.

here is the link to the 2 part doser at premiumaquatics.com

hope that helps, and yes mine was considerably cheaper.

yeah i thought esv were kind of on the spendy side too! mine isn't that much.

plus i don't have the extra cost of co2 equipment, and a ph controller or monitor. basically even if i bought ESV for full price i would still be saving around 250-300bucks!!!!!

this is very true... the cost of everything else it what will add up. for smaller tanks 10g-60g... dosing two part is the way to go. 75g and up is worth the investment for a calcium reactor in my opinion.

ps - if you can drop me an email on where to pickup the dosing unit that you purchased. i'm also a college student on a budget thanks.

Took the words outta my mouth.

Lunchbucket, I was going to give you some verbal abuse until I read that you got your setup for alot cheaper. Just know that I'll be adding up your future supplement expenditures, and I'll let you know when you've spend as much as I have on my reactor.

Have the B-ionic dosers always been like this? I thought they used to be peristaltic.

And finally, a dual-head air pump may work. The problem I've always had was one side being stronger than the other. If you can find one, a tetra luft pump with a gang valve would be a safe bet. The rheostat on the pump also allows for very fine control, and they're designed to work against lows of pressure.

jmho,

E.
