gee, even my Martin Moe book didn't have that alkalinity value in it.
can that be converted to meq/l or ppm or dkh? decent alk is important for coralline to grow and it will die off at low alk. Also, it seems that certain MH lights really bleach the coralline out and it won't grow under them.

I had a pretty good growth of coralline in my tank before I upgraded my lights to 150w MH. After the updrade the coralline bleached out to a light pink and remains that way today.
