Anyone using an Ecosystem setup?

I have been fascinated by the advertising for the Ecosystems "method." Is/has anyone using/used this filtration approach? If so, what are your conclusions?

Works for me.

I dont use a protein skimmer, just a 3g fuge with Chaeto and Eco mud.

I have only done one water change in 5 months.

Cool!

Thanks, Nuhtty, I'll give it a try. Do you use supplements?

I use a skimmer but no other filters, so basically i rely on a 55 Gallon fuge to take care of the tank.

Im going to use DSB in display, with miracle mud in fuge with chaeto and occasional skimming, I love the idea of the Eco system, but I still like some of the other wyas as well, going to try a mixerture of several. We'll see how it goes

Thanks for the input. Spacewise, I'm pretty much limited to one HOT device, so I think I'll go with LR, DSB and an Ecosystem 40.

I use the ecorefugium, shallow sand bed and live rock.

Also a Magnum HOT for running carbon only.

My cheato is growing out of control
