Any Electricians among us? Need Help..
When my heating system (heat pump) kicks on in the house, the house lights and my MH lights dim. Lately my MH lighting will shut off.
I am afraid of damaging my bulbs and/or ballast ( PFO HQI dual 400watt). Is there anything I could do to eliminate that dimming effect? Will a UPS Backup supply help? Thanx, Andy

i had the same problem, andy. i used a UPS backup bought from the old place I used to work at
![]() Since then, I had one of my buddies add a 20A dedicated circuit for the tank alone, and it eliminated any brown outs when the microwave, AC or heat kicks in or used. I now use the UPS to run a 15W Tunze powerhead in case of an outage to keep water circulated. We only did a single 20A since I run minimal equipment, probably no more than 15A total
