A rare cool thing

Just right now i was looking at my emerald crab picking at the LR and there was a tiny creature inside a small hole that was lightning a blue light. Somebody have any idea what it could be? to small to take a picture.

There are a lot of bioluminescent organisms in the ocean. I think it'll be hard to say much without a picture, unfortunately.

Ahh forgot to tell you that the crab was trying to pick at this thing, and the thing was moving inside the hole.

I'd remove the crab, since it's after something that might be interesting. I have no idea what the blue is, though.

copepods flash blue lights as well as some other organisms in the ocean when they feel threatened by a predator, its very possible thats all it is, a copepod in fear for its life against the crab

found another site that could explain it as dinoflagellates
from what im finding both creatures, copepods and the dinoflagellates both have bioluminescence.
