Anti siphon valve
Does anyone have a good source for an anti siphon valve for a return line from a sump system.

Position your return outlets just under the surface. It prevents backsiphon and looks better too.

Thats where they are now, I tried them a little deeper and got better water movement. I want to avoid powerheads in tank if I can. I have a 44g acrylic cube with a drain drilled in the bottom.

Just drill a small hole on the return just above the water line, it's free and it works.

If you use the drilled siphon break hole, be sure to keep it clean. Mine are completely encrusted over with Coraline, but I dont need them anyway.

My other option is a loc-line that goes up to the surface and then redirects.
The bends should break the siphon??? anyone try this??/ |

2" gets a little scary as it is a 20 long sump.
I really dislike the look of the check value. thanks |

Thanks for the replies. I never thought of drilling a small hole at or just above water live.
