phoenix 14k vs. aqualine ab 13k?

Has anyone used these 2 bulbs? How do they compare color and intensity wise? Any pics of the 2?

The AB is going to look a lot brighter/whiter. I thought they looked pretty close to my Ushio 150w 10k DEs when I ran them. A lot of people probably wouldn't like the look of the AB bulb without some sort of blue/actinic supplmentation. The phoenix is definitely on the blue side, but I think it's a pretty good compromise in a single bulb setup without any T5s, VHOs, etc.

They will be run with t5 supplementation.(8x39w). It is for a current USA Outer Orbit 3x150 mh and 8x39 t5. I'm not crazy about the color of the stock current 10k bulbs but don't want it too blue either.

If you're running with supplementation I think the AB will work great and offer more PAR than the phoenix. Definitely don't have to worry about the AB's being too blue, they're pretty comparable to a 10k IMO.

I think AB with supps also. The phoenix is blue enough without supps.

If i had supps i would use a 10K bulb. Like an XM

I just put 2 14k Hamilton's in my Current USA Outer Orbit 2x150 and the color is so much nicer. I have seen no reduction in growth either.
My tank is only a 55gal so I get great light all the way to the bottom.
