My journey back...(Pic Intense!)

Hi everyone! It's been a long time sense I've posted pics on the tank. A few months ago, I needed to move the tank and in the end it crashed. I lost my trumpets, frogs, hammers, and 4 our of 5 of my clams. It was quite a devastating hit. In the end, I decided to start completely over; I sold my mushroom colonies to the LFS and bought a few new zoa frags.

My goal is to run a simple tank with mainly SPS over a bed of zoas and rics. Also, I'd like to slowly start adding clams back to my tank.

Here is my list of fish and corals/inverts that I will put in the tank soon:

Corals:
Blue Tortusa
Purple Monti Cap
Green Monti Cap
Pick Monti Cap
Orange Monti Cap
Green Shaggy Mill
Green Birdsnest
Pink Birdsnest
Blue Mill
Pink Mill
Purple Digitata
15 species of Zoanthids
15 rics

Clams:
Teardrop Maxima
Squamosa
Crocea

Fish:
Bicolor Anthias
Six-line Wrasse
Fairy Wrasse

Obviously, it will take some time to complete the list, but I'm hoping to make a few additions around Christmas. Pics to come!

Ah, Kasey I'm sorry to hear about your loss... I remember liking your old nano.

I'll likely be facing another move in the spring... potentially very long distance. Oh school....

This new one looks pretty good already IMO. The black and white sand is a neat touch too.

What are the tank dimensions here?

Here's what the tank looked like a couple of months before the crash:

Hey Rosseau! Sorry I didn't respond to you. I was in the middle of adding all the pics when you posted, and I didn't realize anyone said anything.

First, thanks for the kind words! That's how this hobby goes sometimes. I hope your move goes a lot better than mine; when you do it, make sure to pull all your sand or vacuum it thoroughly. I neglected a corner of sand that I didn't know I had; I'm pretty sure that could be the only reason the tank fouled.

The tank dimensions are 36"Lx18"Wx12"D; it's still the same tank, but I'm using new plumbing. I also plan on putting a false wall of black plexi to hide the back. I'll eventually build a canopy just for the back section sump. When I thought of the setup, I wanted to make the tank appealing for top-down viewing. Anyway, hopefully tomorrow I'll have some Blue Tortusa and Green Millepora! Good grief, I'm talking too much! Thanks for the response!

P.S. I'll be posting pictures of my girlfriend's tank as well; this way you'll see what's been keeping me busy.

Hi there,
I am a bit confused. I look at your pluming but still don't see overflow. I only see return line for water.. Can you take a picture of your pluming, the overflow and everything else.

Thanks,

Hey guys; thanks for compliment OARrocks. That is one of her favorite pieces too.

CaptNemo: The tank is a 30 breeder with a piece of plexi to separate about 5 gal. of the tank for a sump. If you'd still like pics, I'll try to take a full top-down shot to show how it works. Hope that helps!

Pictures of the Blue Tort to come!
