controller questions

Well I am thinking about getting a controller. heaters have started me on this track. I have had some trouble with heaters and all the troubles have been with the thermostat of them. I want something a little more dependable. also I like the control of the lights.

My questions are what else do they do for the money? I am looking at a AC Jr. Do these have like a feeding mode to shut the pumps off while feeding? right now I have to shut off both pumps to feed. The switches are in the back of the tank and I often forget to turn them on.

How hard are they to program? I am going to put some fans above the tank and it would be nice to operate them like a chiller to turn them on when temp rises to 82 or something like that.

I have been reading quite a bit about them and just wanted to insider info I have never used anything like them.

Im looking at the Jr. too. I thought I was going to get it for Xmas but no such luck. My thermostats keep going bad too, took my tank up to 87 degrees.....

how many pumps will a ACJR controll?

I am wanting to controll

Lights
heater
closed loop pump
return pump I want to be able to shut off both pumps to feed.
I also want to use the chiller timer for fans above the tank.
It would be nice to control two small DIY peristaltic pumps for two part. (don't know if it is possable)

Could the ACJR do it all it is kind of fuzzy on how many things it will control.
