MJMods issues

Hey all - was wondering if anyone has used the MJmods for the powerheads to convert to propeller? I have an issue with mine running in reverse even though I put in the anti-reverse thing. I wrote Ryan - the maker - but haven't heard back. Anyone have a fix, or know why its doing this. Is the shaft too long, or the rod too far from the prop? Also it makes a huge amount of noise at startup..its a real pain when using it with a wavemaker. So is it just me..or has anyone else had this problem?

thanks.

Hard to diagnose your problem without some photos of your mod. It is a DIY project so it will only work as well as it was built IME.

Any picture I take will look just like the instructions and pics from MJmoDs.

Thanks for you input.

Why don't you try taking some photos of them anyway and see if we can see the problem. We may yet surprise you

Be sure to take some measurements of how long things are and how the stopper is placed.

I will do that, and try to get a scale on it when I shoot it. The stopper is exactly 3/4 of an inch long and 1/8" from the top face of the outlet side. The base of the rod is sitting flush with the outside of the housing.

I have them on a differnt timer now..so they only start once a day. The continous cycling on/off noise was driving me nuts. They do put out an amazing flow..but the whole point was to use them with my wavemaker.

Agree i did 4 mjmods 1200 and def got better with each one. Now I own tunzes and have no worries. I must say they do work extremely well when built properly.
