Red Bugs
Are Red Acropora Bugs visible or do you need a magnifying glass? What are the signs that they are attacking an SPS? I suddenly have some patchy white spots on a staghorn frag that has been in the tank for about 3 months. I am not sure if I have a parasite, a pesky fish or something else. Test kits are telling me my water quality is good.

Yes you can see redbugs with the naked eye. You have to look very closely though. They are tiny, tiny, tiny.
I am on my 2nd of 3 Interceptor treatments to get rid of mine. Very safe treatment if you can get the tablets. Good luck.

Do you have a picture? Red bugs typically don't create patches per se but contribute to overall coral ill health. Here are some pictures of parasites and the damage they can do:

Would it be possible that a Solar Fairy Wrasse would be picking at the coral. He is hanging around that coral and he has a guilty look on his face.
