? about Light Intensity vs. Length of Time: its effect
Just curious if there is a coral-ation (pun intended) between light intensity and length of time, and what the effect is upon corals and algae. Let me put it in terms of an example. If I have LR with coralline algae that is shipped from its native environment, and I blast it with very intense light, a light that is much brighter than what it originally experienced, the coralline algae bleaches.
If the intensity of the light can not be reduced, does shortening the time of the intense light have the same effect as reducing the amount of light? or will the coralline still bleach? Just curious |

Is this question an unknown, or just a bad one? Really would like to understand the relationship of light intensity vs. time and the effect on photosynthetic organisms. Any place else I can understand this better?
