ick

i have 2 clowns and one has ick so i set up a 30 tall today with half new water and half out of my tank how long should i wait to put them in i dont want them affecting my other fish

Once your tank water is to the pH and temp of the fish's water you can add them.

If you had them in with other fish before you decided to put them in QT then the other fish/tank are most likely affected as well. You will need to remove all fish and put them in QT as well.

Yesterday I went to work at 10AM fish were great when I left by the time my wife got home at 3PM almost all the fish had ick the clown even gave in later last night errrrr. 5 hours is all it took.

I assume you had them in with other fish? And those fish became infested with the ich?

i have them in with 2 other clown 2 domino damsels a yellow tail damsel a scooter blennie and a lawnmower blonnie and none of them show signs of it. im not even positive it is ick i have never seen it before my friend jsbass saw it and said it is so im not sure but the fish has little white dots under its dorsel fin

Salt grain sized white spots that may or may not cover the whole body or just parts of the body. May visually disappear a few/several days after onset and then most likely will be much worse when they reappear days later. Best way to rid them is to put all fish in QT and leave main tank fishless for 4-6 weeks. The fish in QT must be treated with hypo(easiest) or copper treatments.

what about useing the fresh water dip i went to the lps and he told me to put it in fresh water for 10 min

That will not kill the ich. Ich will be in the gills and buried under the skin. Ich will still be in the main tank as well.
