Super glue gel will not work......a tleast not for very long.
Im not familiar with Devcon but any two part epoxy should work. What I have done to make sure when gluing heavy things to magfloats is to score the surface of the magfloat as wewll as whatever it is im gluing to it.......give the epoxy something to stick to
