The thing is, I think they are about the same because even though the ATI gets 1800lph of air, its only 22" tall and has a very short dwell time for the bubbles... 12" of height only with a very speedy trip to the top. The ER RS250 does about 1180lph of air, but it also does so in a larger body, with less being forced to the top, and with about 2x the distance to the top of the skimmer because its an 8" taller skimmer.

From seeing the both at different times, I would say that the ATI is no less turbulent than the RS250, or any other skimmer w/o a bubble plate for that matter.
