ok no pictures yet. but i used a 1" - 1/2" threaded reducer. drilled a 1 1/4" hole and wrapped the 1" threads with teflon tape and screwed it into the jug. no tapping needed. it held water and what little pressure i could apply. the 1" - 1/2" reducer allows one to drill out the center for a 45 degree street elbow 1/2" or 3/4 "this will fit through the 1 1/4" hole and will allow for the pump to direct the water into a cyclonic action. i cut the bottom and top off another jug and placed onto the other as a collection cup. it litteraly snapped into place and is next to imposiible to remove without sealent. would certainly need some sealent to prevent simmate from leaking everywhere. this all took only 30 minutes. could be the fatest and easiest skimmer to build. all i need is a pump.

i used 2 polycarbonate 5 gallon water jugs. manufactured by reid plastics.

will post pictures soon.
