I've been running the dart on a closed loop as well. Agree with the statement on quiet, I have to touch it to see that it's running.
The only downside is that the thing gets really hot (touching for too long is not such a good idea). The thing upped the temp on my 150 by a good 2-3 degrees (I use an aquacontroller and am able to watch the temp pretty closely).
Other than the temperature, it's been great.
