Would it be possible for you to run a sort of drip line into the baby's tank so that the water is constantly being changed, slowly, instead of all at once? maybe this would be easier on the fry.
You could have one piece of airline tubing witha siphon taking water out, and another putting water in. Like a drip acclimator. Just an idea maybe.
