Only single-ended MH bulbs have UV shielding on their glass envelops. The double-ended bulbs, such as yours, do not. The DE bulbs depend on the fixture's tempered glass to block UV.
For your sake, please do not use your DE lamp without a UV shield. Commercial MH lamps with broken shields have damaged people's eyes:
