If I were you, I would invest in a vortech pump w/battery backup. I recently had to use mine as my local power company turned off power for 8hrs due to local construction. The vortech worked beautifully and seamlessly. Other than a slight drop in temp, all the inhabitants were fine. Btw, I love seeing the daddy Interruptus pics!!
