When I did a red bug treatment on my old tank, I presumed that all pods would die from the Interceptor, so I set up a temporary tank that contained some LR from the fuge and all of the emerald crabs and shrimp I could rescue from the main tank. At the end of the treatment period the crabs and shrimp were returned to the tank, and the LR (with its resident pod population) went back into the fuge. After a few weeks the tank was again teeming with pods.
