I put a whole silverside in it. Do you leave the bottle standing up or laying down. I tried a silverside before and didn't catch anything either but this time I put the open end of the bottle close to the rock that the crab was on so it didn't have to go far to get in it. I also lay the bottle down and bury it in the sand so the sand goes almost into the bottle. This way there is only a small part of the bottle that the crab has to walk on until it is too late.
