Right now i have a wet/dry filter box setting in my sump. I cut off the return part so the water comes in through the filter box and empties into my 20L sump. I have a large skimmer and it didnt fit in the wet/dry. i want to get rid of the stupid filter box all together and would like to add a filter sock inlet. I don't want to spend $40 on a peice of acrylic and a filter sock and would rather build something. My dad is a carpenter so i plan on using his workshop/tools if needed.

Does anyone have any good ideas about a sump inlet w/ filter sock? i have an idea on setting a filter sock up with some eggcrate and pvc... but i dont know how to fasten the inlet hose to the sump w/o drilling. its already set up and i dont want to drill the tank.
