That hurts but yet, in a way I'm jealous. Last July, I had a bill for 1500 KwH and it was $397. You used more than twice the amount I did last year. I imagine out here (PG&E) that would cost you closer to $1k (it's a sliding scale upwards so I don't care to take the time to figure it out.) Nonetheless, you'd have to sell more than one Tunze's for that kind of a bill either way.
60W difference with door open/closed makes more sense.
