i know you're right, nick. gary will always be a part of me and i will always be a part of him. after all, he took my heart with him.
while i haven't actually heard his voice in my head, many times a day i will "hear" things he has said to me. i still have a pair of gary's shoes at my back door. i slip into them once in a while when i have to run outside to put water in the bird bath or see what the dogs are barking at. every time gary saw me do that, he would say "hey shoes! where ya goin' with that girl??"
i do take it a day at a time. some days, a hour, some days a minute at a time. it's getting a little better. just a teeny tiny bit. baby steps. thank you for your kindness, it really does help me to know others think about me.
