My RC135 looks like that, although I get fairly dark skimmate. The top of the neck and the bottom of the lid get pretty "gunky" as well. Does your skimmer ever overflow? Mine's in my sump, but it's overflowed a few times already for no apparent reason. It also has a different connection where the cup joins the body.
