This year should put to rest the idiotic idea that a plus one system would help. Who deserved to be the plus one team? Based on the final coaches poll probably would have been USC. I imagine the Dawg fans would have taken issue with that but Kansas and Missouri had strong claims too.

Last year the SEC was the strongest conference but overrated. This year they were just overrated.
