I hate SPS!
Well not really but I don't love it either. Sure the colors are great but they need soooo much extra equipment and care I just don't find it worth it. Soft corals move in the current which I find so much more interesting. I do wish more softies had color but you can get creative with things like Yellow Fiji Leathers, blue Clove Polyps, Ricordia and something green like the green polyped Toadstool I recently purchased. Mix that up with the brown colored softies and add some vibrantly colored fish to pop against the softer coral colors and you have a beautiful tank. This is what I plan to do with my new 290 gallon tank.
Does anyone here choose softies over stonies for similar reasons? I know they're considered more of a beginner coral but I'm not a beginner and I choose them because I just like them better.
