Yea my orange spot jumped as well, we didn't have a top so that's our fault. I went the glass route, as I don't have a canopy either, and the egg crate reflected too much, killing the eyes. He never even went near the top, someone must have scared the crap out of him one night, because we found him dead on the floor in the morning.
