You should be fine. If you lose some coraline, no big deal, it'll grow back. You just want to keep the biological colonies alive. Adding a heater and powerhead will do just what you need it to do.

Just make sure you add topoff water to keep the salinity relatively stable. Doesn't have to remain spot on, like in an established tank though.
