yeah from my non scientific observations............ ive noticed about three different species in which we can call "dendro's"
There are several different skeleton colors, shape, and growth patterns.......... but these may just be a factor of location/depth in which the are collected.......... none the less they look different......... one thing many people don't seem to grasp is the size of the polyps when fully extended......... they look something like a anemone on a stick......... The comparison pictures above are of a small colony of dendro's, one needs to see a large piece to truly understand the uniqueness of these corals.......... oh well I guess we will just have to wait until someone does some solid research and really classify these things.................
