After the double hit from Katrina and then Wilma... The state mandated a timetable for gas stations to install generators.
Now... Let's think about this. If I owned a gas station... I wouldn't want to be out of business for days! Duh!
Our major grocery chain PUBLIX has already installed these HUGE CAT diesel powered generators behind their stores. Just avoiding the lost inventory in frozen and refrigerated foods would probably pay for them fairly quickly! There is I'm sure also an insurance savings. Not to mention the loss in business after a storm.
