One thing youd have to think about it now your running these pumps with "less resistance" or less static pressure on the pump, this will cause the pump to spin faster past its original designed rpm range or pump curve, decreasing overal life expetancy.... cant you tell Im a engineer geek. Trust me tunze has great engineered products and that piece while not completely "neccesary" also was not designed to be removed. Anyway it is a great mod, just curious as to how long these pumps will last.

I have 2 6025's and mine almost always run backwards at startup until I impeed the inlet of flow and create pressure to get the prepeller to run in the right direction. I know they say it is self correcting within 20 seconds but I found that not to be the case, anone else have this isssue also?
