I think theres a relationship between N & P that creates a balance.......if your ratio is correct than you'll see the results. I'm not sure this is something that can be measured, although I'd like to check my nitrates with a photmeter to see what they are......with a Salifert kit it's 0.

I use a skimmer & water changes........nothing else. I've been contemplating using some GFO.
Can I see some recent pics of your corals? Mine is .14 (Hanna) and Nitrates is 4ppm Lamotte and I think half my corals don't look very well compaired to friends tanks. I was thinking this was because of high phosphates. So lets see yours!!
