No, it is not a static sticker like your thinking. It is a truly a vinyl window film. Identical to the films they put on your house or car windows but solid in color. You have to spray on a soapy solution and squeegie out the bubbles with a credit card. I actually picked up a window film kit from HD for $9 that had the soapy solution, knife and several sqeegie devices.
