Right now the island is pretty much dead. All the summer tourists have left the island to make way for the worst kind of tourists...WINTER TEXANS.
If you make it this way, let me know. I'll help you get some fish for your tank like I did. I used a castnet to pull some fish out of Aransas Bay in Rockport. If my boss will allow it, I'll take you to the shrimp mariculture facility and show you some LARGE "aquariums" with experimental shrimp in them and the unlimited supply of ultra-filtered, polished natural seawater from the Gulf of Mexico.
...and no...I don't think I could ever get tired of lounging around on the beach.
