I absolutely agree. It gives the system a different look. It seems to make you realize the presents of the water more. With a framed tank, either braced or covered with a canopy or wall, you almost forget the water is there sometimes.
I want to do a rimless tank with a hanging light system for my next set up. Like I said above, the hard part is finding light fixtures that will work to my liking.
