for whatever its worth mtfatwork, the radiums require a magnetic ballast with a built in igniter. if you try and use a radium on a standard pulse start magnetic ballast they will sometimes fire and sometimes not fire. I have two brand new radiums sitting on a shelf cause I wasnt told this when I bought them, and my standard magnetic ballasts wouldnt fire the bulbs all the time. So you may be having the same problem I was having. I havent ever heard of electronic ballasts causeing problems. But I have been wrong several times before. HEHE!
