ae as pronounced in modern latin is "ee". ae as ""eye" is how the romans would have pronounced it, but scholars and scientists usually use the modern pronunciation unless they are directly referring to it's ancient usage. Chaetomorpha is a latin name for taxonomy purposes not an ancient roman word so I think it is more proper to pronounce it "keetomorfa" so to speak.
