I have recently started using cow chips. If they hold together long enough I find they are a great source of food for the polyps and the tank.

About a year or so ago I was using small pieces of copper pipe that I would pick up free at a local plumbing shop-just scrap pieces. They turned a really neat color in the salt water and the pods loved to run in and out of them.

A fellow reefer also suggested recycled batteries as the length was perfect for hiding in rocks. I only did that once because the silver in the Energizer lettering would not grow coraline.
