I did buy it used. I bought it for my buddy, who was able to get a metal halide setup for a little more money. So, we had no use for it. He tested it with some pc's in it, while I was there and it worked fine. This was also the reason for some confusion b/c I did not have the fixture at my house until later on in the selling steps.

sounds to me like he bought it then resold it without using it first or he sold it for his friend
