Yes, they seem to be very beneficial.
I used to have a ton of them until I got a copperband butterfly.
He wiped out all of the spaghetti worms, tubeworms and aptasia in record time.
I also had a colony of little brown hydroids that have been picked clean. I haven't seen the CBB eat them but they disappeared the same time as the others.
