I have a Sequence 5800 pump for my closed loop and it is very, very loud. Loud enough that I (well...more my fiance) am debating changing it for something else (If I keep it, she may want to trade me for something else  ). I was considering the Barracuda but after reading your thread, maybe not...

I dont think you have anything to worry about. I went to a friends house locally who has the Baracudda running in his living room in an open stand and you can only hear some noise from the fan. But Ill keep you updated.
